Switching to Sunrise Power & Gas is simple, safe, and seamless. Let’s answer some common questions about switching.

  • How do I switch to Sunrise Power & Gas?

  • Is there a cost to switch? 

There is no charge to switch to Sunrise Power & Gas.

  • How will my service change?

There will be no change to your service.

  • Does someone check my meter or install new equipment?

There is no need for anyone to check your electric meter and there is no new equipment needed at your home.

  • What happens if there is an outage?

If you experience an outage, you would report that to PECO, PPL, or Duquesne Light, as you do today. Those companies are responsible for restoring electricity.    

  • How do I get my bill?

You will continue to receive a monthly bill from PECO, PPL, or Duquesne Light. Charges for Sunrise will be noted on the bill under “Electric Supply.” So there is no extra monthly bill to worry about.

  • How do I pay?

You continue to pay PECO, PPL, or Duquesne Light as you do now. There is no need to arrange any additional payment or write another check.

  • How long does it take for my switch to go into effect?

It usually takes about three to five business days for a switch to go into effect.

  • How is electricity from Sunrise generated?

We use 100 percent renewable energy that comes from wind, solar, and water sources.
